Ebele Chizea (Eby) graduated from a liberal arts college in 2004 and has since been published in various publications including The African, The Sentinel and The Muse. She is part of the press team for Red Media Africa, the top PR and Communications agency on the continent.

From 2006-2012, she ran her own online magazine, Drumtide Magazine which featured current affairs and interviews with prominent figures in the entertainment and literary fields such as Hollywood actor Hakaem Kae Kazim, Afro-punk pioneer and actress, Lunden DeLeon, and award winning Nigerian Belgian novelist, Chika Unigwe. Her self-published book, How To Slay In Life: A Book of Proverbial Wisdom, a Self-Help book published in 2020, sold several copies and went on to win the L.T Henry Arts and Culture Award. Her debut novel, Aquarian Dawn, released in October 2022 by Three Rooms Press, has received critical acclaim from the likes of Brittle Paper, Publishers Weekly, Foreward Reviews, Kirkus, John Hopkins University Press and others. The novel was also a 2022 Pushcart Prize nominee and is a 2022 Foreward Reviews GOLD medalist in the Young Adult Fiction category. She is currently working on her second novel manuscript, and when she's not writing, she is designing websites, crocheting, making jewelry, travelling, networking, watching an indie film and enjoying life!
