Aquarian Dawn Foreward Indies Gold Medalist !

So excited to announce that Aquarian Dawn is the Gold Medal Winner in the 2022 Foreward Indies Young Adult Fiction category! It's such a dream come true and has been an incredible journey from the day I decided to retrieve the long-buried manuscript from my hard drive and begin the process of finding an editor and pitching to agents and publishers. This was early 2021. Months later, in June, after several rejection letters (as expected) and a few acceptance letters with contracts I was unhappy with, I finally received a letter from Threerooms Press, an Indie traditional publisher based in New York City, expressing interest in my manuscript. The rest is history as they say! 

The journey has been incredible! From receiving my first advance, to seeing my novel in bookstores, to receiving my first royalty check. Every writer's dream. All these would not have been possible without the support and encouragement of key people such as; Diane Sears, Managing Editor of In Search of Fatherhood, Lynn Lipinski, author of Bloodlines and Serpent Loop, Amma from Ammaedits, who encouraged me to pitch Aquarian Dawn to traditional publishers instead of going the self-publishing route, and family members and friends. 

Most of all I appreciate all the readers who have supported this book so far and all the positive reviews in particular from literary publications like John Hopkins University Press, Kirkus, Foreward, Publishers Weekly and others. I look forward to releasing more material in the coming years. At the moment, I will sip my glass of champagne while I celebrate this great honor and achievement!
